Outside Things To Do In The Kansas City Location: 1200 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe, Kan. This fantastic historic stop is mostly outdoors, though there is a little museum display indoors, along with the choice of exploring the real Mahaffie home where they fed travelers passing through the area along the Santa Fe Path.

My kid even helped stoke the fire for the blacksmith presentation. Employees at Mahaffie are worn period costumes and have plenty of insight about the era.: The road you turn into the car park was as soon as the Santa Fe Path. There is an admission price. Stagecoach flights are on a schedule, so focus when you get here so you can be sure to catch among them.

Antioch Park is a 44-acre, tree-filled park that made me jealous of the households in the KC location. It's lovely, with 2 lakes, consisting of one lake that has fun stepping stones. Dodge Town is a playground situated in the park, but it's not a normal playground. Its style is an old Kansas Town, with structures, a train station, and, naturally, a train to climb up on.
